Angelo Leo made weight, but Ra’eese Aleem didn’t. Now the IBF featherweight title fight is off, replaced by a new main event: a light heavyweight catchweight bout between Atif Oberlton and Carlos Gongora on Saturday at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia.

At Friday’s weigh-in, Oberlton tipped the scales at 178.0lbs, while Gongora came in at 174.0lbs.

Oberlton, 15-0 (13 KOs), hasn’t weighed as much for a fight since his second professional bout, against Larry Pryor in 2021. A 27-year-old from Philadelphia, Oberlton signed a co-promotional agreement with Salita Promotions in conjunction with Kings Promotions in January. He most recently stopped Joseph George in February, though the circumstances were odd, as George collapsed between the first and second rounds.

Gongora, 22-3 (17 KOs), will be making his light heavyweight debut against Oberlton. A 37-year-old veteran, Gongora has proven to be a stern test for prospects, especially in the super middleweight division.

In 2020, he knocked out Ali Akhmedov and followed that with a stoppage win over Christopher Pearson. An Ecuadorian who trains out of Boston, Gongora has lost only to the best recently: Lester Martinez and Christian Mbilli are the last two fighters to have beaten him.

The bout, promoted by Salita Promotions, will be televised on DAZN.

Ashleyann Lozada (121.0lbs) vs Debora Anahi Dionicius (119.6lbs) will also be on the card.
