Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BANDERDOG ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use BANDERDOG (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
We do not sell your personal data. We also never store your full payment card details — card payments are processed directly by Stripe and (on mobile) by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data: email address and authentication details when you register, including identifiers from OAuth providers you choose (such as Google, Apple, Discord, X/Twitter, or Facebook).
- Profile data: username, display name, avatar, bio, and preferences you provide.
- Activity data: predictions, picks, comments, follows, ranks, streaks, contest participation, coin balance and transactions, and similar usage within the Service.
- Purchase data: records of coin packs and subscriptions you buy. Payments are handled by Stripe / the app stores; we receive confirmation and limited metadata, not your full card number.
- AI personalization data: optional facts and summaries used to tailor in-app experiences. You can view and clear this at any time in Settings → Privacy & AI Memory.
- Technical data: device, browser, IP-derived region, and error/diagnostic data (via Sentry) needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service and its features;
- Authenticate you and keep your account and the platform secure;
- Process purchases of coins and subscriptions and prevent fraud;
- Personalize content, predictions experiences, and analytics;
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the bases of performance of our contract with you (providing the Service), our legitimate interests (security, improvement, fraud prevention), your consent (where requested, such as optional personalization), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Data
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Service, including:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of your account and content;
- Stripe and the Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing;
- Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics;
- OAuth providers you choose to sign in with;
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and local storage that are necessary to sign you in, keep your session, and remember preferences such as your theme. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent. You can:
- Manage your profile in your account settings;
- View, export, or clear your AI personalization data in Settings → Privacy & AI Memory;
- Contact us at [your-support-email] to exercise any right, including account deletion.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including by the providers listed above. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to respond promptly to incidents.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
