(Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC) This is the live blog for Khamzat Chimaev vs. Dillon Danis, the main event for RAF 10 on Saturday night at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Mo. A former UFC middleweight champion, Chimaev signed with RAF when he still held the UFC’s 185-pound title, but dropped it shortly after to Sean Strickland. A three-time Swedish national champion, Chimaev is known for his wrestling skills, but now takes them to the RAF mats for the first time. A former world champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Danis rose to prominence through his association with Conor McGregor and became one of combat sports’ biggest lightning rods, drawing fans and critics across multiple disciplines. Danis made his RAF debut at RAF 7, losing to Colby Covington via Tech Fall, but giving a good accounting for himself despite his lack of wrestling experience. Period 1

Chimaev looks much bigger than Danis. Immediately Chimaev is warned for something but I don’t know what. They reset and get into a headlock. Chimaev trying to work an arm-drag but Danis is actually showing strong defense here. Then he goes for a snap down, and off that, ends up in a fireman’s carry. Chimaev dumps and gets the takedown off that. Danis is holding onto him and he might get a fall here! He does! Chimaev gets the fall as Danis is maybe trying for a guillotine? Weird. OH! Something happened and Chimaev kicked Danis! Danis was still down there, and Chimaev had his leg and kicked him. Danis kicked back and Chimaev immediately tried to jump him! The referee hits a really nice takedown to prevent Chimaev from attacking him, but 500 people come out of nowhere and this is chaos! Danis running away as he’s swarmed by 50 people. Insane scene as Chimaev tries to get to Danis again. He doesn’t fight the ref at least, but this is grimy. View this post on Instagram Eventually it settles down.

Post Match

Looking at the video again, best I can tell, Danis holds onto Chimaev well after the match is over, Chimaev gets mad and shoves him, then kicks him. Danis responds, and all hell breaks loose.
