Tyson Fury, well-known for dropping hints on social media, today appeared to announce that his next fight will take place in Dublin, Ireland, on August 1.
The former heavyweight champion, 37 years old and on the comeback trail, last month outpointed Arslanbek Makhmudov over 12 rounds at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.
That victory marked his first action since losing two fights to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024. It was a win that Fury planned would lead straight to a money-spinning showdown with Anthony Joshua but, with Joshua opting to have a warm-up bout, Fury will now dow the same.
Fury Tuesday posted on social media: "Let's go, August 1, Dublin, Ireland."
Frank Warren, Fury's promoter, already has a show confirmed for August 1 in Dublin meaning that Fury, 35-2-1 (24 KOs), will be added to the bill currently topped by Pierce O'Leary vs. Mark Chamberlain in a junior welterweight bout.
The promoter recently confirmed that Fury's opponent, due to be announced this week, will be a 'good heavyweight'.
