Williamson, Simpson Make Weight for Rematch; Hemphill Misses Mark

Both Troy Williamson and Callum Simpson made weight ahead of their rematch at the Leeds’ First Direct Arena on Saturday.

Williamson, who won their first fight via stoppage in December, came in at 167.5lbs while Barnsley hero Simpson was 167.3lbs.

Simpson dubbed the champion “complacent” and believed Williamson, a former 154-pounder, had trouble making 168lbs.

One fighter who had real trouble was New Orleans’ Sean Hemphill, who was more than 7lbs over the limit for his scheduled bout with Dutch prospect Gradus Kraus. He was 182.2lbs while Kraus came in at 174.2lbs.
